Growild began in 1997 on Hill Hughes Rd in Fairview and has since grown to become one of the largest native plant nurseries in the Southeast, featuring over 900 species and varieties of southeastern natives. Situated on 120 acres of gorgeous rolling terrain, the nursery is a favorite destination of garden clubs and botanists, thanks to its plant rich environment and beautiful grounds. A two mile nature trail is available for hiking, as well as extensive trial plantings that demonstrate many native plants in a garden setting. Other than during the annual Open House when the nursery is open to the public, Growild is a wholesale nursery that is open to the public by appointment only.
